About the Dojo

What is a dojo?

"Jikishin kore dojo" - The true spirit is the place of the way.

Dojo can be defined as: "The training hall. The place where the way to harmony with the fundamental life force (Ki) is practiced."

Quite literally, dojo means, "place of the Way". The Way being the Path, or the means of learning, wisdom, or enlightenement.

Adirondack Aikido is pleased to offer training for students in our dojo, under the instruction of Chief Instructor (Sensei) Mike Hornung.

Classes are held weekly and are made available to both adults and children at a reasonable fee.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our program.
